Thank you to everyone who came to BIAYR's Mixer 2024!
What a beautiful evening it was at the Kortright Centre on May 30th, where we gathered to raise funds for the programs and services provided to brain injury survivors and caregivers in York Region.
The event was filled with joy and excitement, featuring a memorable photo booth where attendees captured their smiles and laughter, astonishing magic that left everyone in awe, and a delightful spread of food including the opportunity to roast s'mores over a cozy fire. The evening also offered an abundance of drinks, a generous array of silent auction items, and unforgettable moments shared with our friends, members, and colleagues.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Corporate Sponsors, Event Sponsors, and silent auction donors for their generous contributions. Additionally, we are thankful to everyone who donated their money and time to support this meaningful event. It is through the collective effort of our community that we are able to make a positive impact in the lives of brain injury survivors and their caregivers in York Region. In April, BIAYR's members gathered to create unique masks for the Unmasking Brain Injury Workshop. The workshop provided a platform for individuals to express themselves and tell their stories through the art of mask-making. Each mask created by the members reflected their personal journey of recovery, highlighting their individual struggles and triumphs.
BIAYR was excited to display these beautiful creations at the Annual Mixer! It was an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the strength and determination of those who have suffered from brain injuries and to honour their journeys of recovery.
